What do you think of acupuncture for dogs? If you get a chance, would you try?
I used to work for a holistic vet uses both holistic and traditional treatments, and we had a specialized vocational training in acupuncture. I have seen dogs respond to him surprisingly for their own specific reasons.
Would I let someone who is not specialized in animal acupuncture do? Someone who is No, and I thought my pet would benefit, absolutely.
ADD: I agree, I saw and treated animals holistically with homeopathy, and its amazing sometimes. I treat it that way also, on occasion! It must be done by the right person in the right circumstances, and its great. And believe me, I am far from being one of those crusty earth, and I thought it was shit before, I saw, and began to use it!
Sure.
Nothing to lose ...
It would take precautions in place even if - we are talking about needles and animals who love driving here.
I would try it if someone could convince me that he had a chance to cure my dog of a specific problem.
They are comfortable for dogs. Who would have thought.
Yes, I would do for my dogs, if necessary. Did it for my horse and it worked very well.
in fact I would be trained to do after my degree and get my license (RVT) I want to specialize in the recovery of animals after the surgery, and serious injuries. Just as some holistic medicine.
One of my friends used homeopathic medicine with Frenchy who had back problems. It worked like a charm.
Yes Acupuncture was first tested on animals to see how it affects humans and then tested to see if she had the same key. It is very hard and they are kept in a crate or detained for the duration of therapy. I had it on my dog before and they liked it. No whining or whimpering.
I used acupuncture on my dogs. They also go for chiropractic treatment monthly. Because they are dogs performance, I want to make sure they are in excellent condition with no Owies.
That said, I also had acupuncture for pain in knees buttocks.
Edit: The person I'm going to acupuncture for my dog and chiropractic treatment is a licensed veterinarian. My regular vet is holistic and conventional.
Yes, I go to a vet sport that has additional training in rehab, chiropractic, acupuncture. She used to do acupuncture on my old dog (passed) and he would rather walk for about two weeks after treatment.
NOPE because they have a body then we are diffrerent
