In countries where "the sun always shines," the celestial world had not shone its bright face for several days. I drove into town during a rainstorm. I had not seen a ray of gold warming. In fact, three weeks had elapsed since I am led to Los Angeles from my graduation at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. It had been pouring since. I left the Midwest to escape Cold dark days of rain, snow and clouds. Tonight was particularly worrisome with swing sleeves humidity and wind. It was certainly night to venture outside my rented room where I been cut since my arrival! Yet my inner guidance insisted I take a soggy, dreary walk to nowhere.

Spirit told me that I needed to get out, break free of the claustrophobic, gray walls of my narrow, matchbox of a room. I do not want to go! The dismal weather gave me a very socially acceptable reason to stay in my refuge, because it was cold and damp outside. However, fear was the real reason I was avoiding leaving my room and my home town to explore further. Venturing outside would take the next step ominous in my spiritual odyssey.

All day my inner coach kept pushing me to put myself out in the flow of the river of life, so I can go back into my destiny. Spirit was not buying my lame excuse of bad weather. For my real self, taking a walk during this tropical deluge was an excellent opportunity to experience life as a river, to allow the natural pulse and rhythm of life to pump vitality back into my psyche reluctant. My personality has argued nothing important would happen to me on such a raw, inhospitable night. No sane person will prepare. It would then not meet! But my inner guide would not be swayed from its objective. I leave my room alone.

I learned to follow my intuition when it demanding action as strongly as it was this evening. Reluctantly, I dressed myself against the wind flapping and left my safe haven for an unknown adventure in the "City of Angels." I led through the country to get a fresh start. Bad weather delayed my plans and dampened my hopes, but I remain open to encounter a sort of messenger of God, angel, or otherwise. I leave for my wet adventure, thinking to myself, maybe my inner coach knows something of the same name of the city, I have not yet discovered.

Or maybe not! After a quick walk a dozen blocks of empty houses in the cold rain, I was soaked to the bone and ready to withdraw from what is rapidly becoming an unhappy tour. Turning, I started walking back to my room when a light in the gutter caught my attention. The light seemed to shine through a soggy, muddy flyer lying in the gutter of the street. Naturally, I stopped to examine the phenomenon more closely. Yes, there was definitely a glow shining through the paper. My curiosity peaked, I bent to pick up the sheet. As soon as I touched the flyer, the mysterious luminescence behind it vanishes.

Not only am I soaked and miserable, I began to see things, I guess that myself. Enough is enough! This feast ended crazy. I'm going back to my nice, warm room.

I wiped the worst of the land off the leaflet, stuffed it in my jacket pocket and left for home at a pace precipitate. I had a souvenir of my soggy journey. At least, I would not go home empty handed!

Back to the cozy haven of my room to dry toast, I carefully smoothed the rain-swollen sheet of paper. I was very curious what the strange light caught my attention. The opinion has been burned a public invitation to a meal at home of natural foods. Hungry for nourishment from a source other than a tin, I was thrilled at the idea of a holiday home and well.
