Aged Care Crisis

This show was just the tip of the iceberg with Queensland and have many elderly care facilities involved in the abuse of the elderly.

They are treated worse than criminals, the elderly!

I do not see it, but I suspect abuse happens everywhere. It sickens me. I think any person who abuses another human being should have the death penalty. This includes violence to children or adults, and animals.

We had more than our share of elder abuse in the United States. Currently, there are many laws on the books to prevent such things and there are inspection agencies that investigated nursing homes, but problems persist. People who are involved in the care of older persons need to be extremely diligent in observing and get rid of the cruel, sadistic though are attracted to situations where people are so vulnerable.

Sorry could not get it here by cable. It was mentioned that here in the U.S. they have started something called a Green House home where the old as they are called to a residence that resembles the house and not a facility. They offer meals, support, and nursing and each person has his own room and bathroom with a sunny sitting area. They can even put their grain of salt in food preparation in the subject and have access to a garden and patio. This is a new test model is made to try to change how the U.S. cares for its oldest citizens. So we try to change things.

it will not improve anytime soon .. here in the us, they are still dropping new buildings and facilities for the elderly, baby boomers are here on the world cares.
