Bring up a list of questions and concerns with you when you visit a doctor? I've always done that, and tried to get my mother to do the same. My mother says she does not "look stupid" or waste ..... time the doctor and I can not convince her that the lists are smart and save time.

Sandwich, I find myself smiling as I answer your interesting question. My chip was telling me about this problem for several years. I see a real advantage to visit the same people for advice and diagnosis and treatment of related health problems. In doing so, I got to know my doctor quite well. I do not ask questions. You wet your place lately? How is your family? Been home to see your parents lately? Still on the same deer lease? Therefore, my sweetie with me at the office of Dr. and spent some time with me when I am in Doc. I was busy with my sweetie and she embarrasses me in front of my doctor, but that's OK. Both of them keep me in good shape. My chip keeps a list of questions for me. Sandwich, I can almost hear you say, "God thank you, I did not put up with this old man, except when I'm on you. I suppose, "Count your blessings.
At times yes like you sometimes forget what you wanted to know and when you come out of the office, too late.Nothing wrong questions to help you and your doctor.
always do - and he seems to think he is a great ideal!
Since doctors are seeing a number of patients per hour and for insurance reimbursement, they can sometimes be rushed. For this reason, I always suggest my clients to compile a short list to avoid forgetting anything. To be reasonable, I tell them to limit the list of five most important items. If they have major concerns or think they need an appointment more than normal, it is useful to draw physicians' offices in advance and make arrangements. They usually try just before you plan the lunch break or at the end of the day, so it does not get behind and subsequently patients wait too long.
My grandparents and my parents and myself and the woman always make a list if there are concerns. If you do you tend to forget once in your doctor's office.
If there is something different, I go look for it on the line, then write a number of things. Helps me a lot. "I use to take mother to her appointments and does the same thing for her. This is an excellent idea and I bet that Doc is just as much.
In recent years, for me the doctor was the only one to provide this list to me.
No, I've never done that. But it's a good thing to do
I go to the VA for health care, they are so busy and trying to see as many patients as possible. I make a list of issues and the medications I need refills and just give it to the doctor and she goes straight into the list. It saves probably 10 minutes, she can go with another patient. My partner is diabetic and when she goes to the doctor we do the same, but also to take his record of blood pressure and glucose levels. The doctor cane to see if there should be adjustments to these medications. It is a very good thing to do and save time for you and your doctor.
yes
The script doctor every patient out of hand. Just read one of your answers (the doctors are in a hurry and need to see many patients in one hour) is really at a level that should not be a consideration and must cease.
I always tell my wife and mother that no matter what they said or what their perception.
