Analytical PsychologyAnalytical psychology and mythology?

Can anyone recommend a good place to start reading about Mytology compared to analytical psychology? I am interested in the work of Carl Jung, but do not really know the best way to approach the subject to better understand it.

People say that you need to fully explore the mythology / religion, etc. .. To understand this, but given the wealth of material available, I feel a little overwhelmed.

Just go ahead and start to Jung, it is not so difficult to understand, but if you do run across some problems with it, look what you're having problems with, also look at the writings of Freud, most people talk about Freud and his theories of sexual reference only because they are the most challenging, but it has a range of work other than work and it is a fantastic writer and philosopher. My favorite is "Civilization and Discontents is wonderful things. The reason I say that is trained with Freud, Jung and have been partners for many years until Jung has failed to do its work on the collective unconscious. Enjoy!

smoke a bong first ... you should be good.
