What does this mean for college admission writing prompt? An optional choice test for further application of the Tufts University asks "Are we alone?" That's it. No explanation.
I think they did this on purpose so that students can interpret as they wish.
Personally, I would like to answer this question on a universal scale (the probability of extraterrestrial life). Is this an acceptable approach?
I think it's acceptable, but it is obvious. You'll want to stay away from the obvious.
Personally, I would look at it in terms of the relationship.
But again, if you can answer the question in a creative way, I do not think it matters as much as your response is real. Is that logical? All colleges want to hear about * you * and what you think, it's not like they want something truly * different content. Especially the way you write test, which could explain why they left it vague.
I am afraid that did not help. I'm sorry if it did not!
