Does ovulation still occur when, Apri birth control pill? In addition, if pregnancy occurs while the pill, is it affect my baby?
Birth control pills work primarily by stopping ovulation. From time to time an egg can pass through, but if this happens, thickening cervical mucus coating and non-receptive uterus would still make pregnancy very unlikely.
If the pregnancy occurs, there is no evidence of harm from taking the pill during the first weeks. Once you suspect a pregnancy (no bleeding or symptoms of pregnancy), it is wise to stop taking it until you can confirm or deny the pregnancy.
