Arizona Wellness Center For WomenNames Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center Humana $ 100,000 for the Arizona Benefits Winner of the 2009 grant

The Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC), a non-profit organization that works to
advancing research and providing support for people with autism and their
families, has received a grant of $ 100,000 that the winner of the 2009 Arizona
provide benefits, funded by Health Benefits Company Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM).

Mark El-Tawil, president of Humana of Arizona, SARRC named the winner of the
subsidy in the Arizona Benefits Celebration of Giving dinner Thursday, October
22, at Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Two other finalists for the prize - The
Phoenix Public Library Foundation and the Sun Cities Area Transit System Inc. - each
received a $ 10,000 grant from Humana.

With the $ 100,000 award, will SARRC GardenWorks, a community based
program to hire people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in
developing and maintaining a garden of revenue-producing co-op.

"A diagnosis of autism is made in the U.S. every 20 minutes, and
number of children expected to need adult services expanded over the next 15
years exceeds 380,000, which is roughly equal to the population of Tempe, Yuma,
Flagstaff and Payson combined, "said Jeri Kendle, executive director of SARRC.
"Clearly, there is a great need for the type of training and mentoring
GardenWorks provide people with autism spectrum disorders.

Kendle said the grant from Humana will provide the resources necessary for the SARRC to
implement the program GardenWorks, allowing nonprofit involve
Community programs to benefit individuals with ASD. In developing a co-op
garden, teach SARRC those gardening TSA and landscaping skills, they
can use to work towards financial independence, while members of the Community will
encourage individuals with ASD mentor to help them grow, harvest and sell
their products.

"Going into the third year of the program, Humana is committed to continue
back to the communities we serve through programs such as the benefits of Arizona,
said El-Tawil. "To help an organization like the SARRC find a solution to a
needs of the community and grow in ways they would not have thought possible is the
heart of what this program is all about. We re Honor to work with
the SARRC to help people with autism spectrum disorders learn life
skills while raising healthy crops. "

The community judges choose the recipient of the grant of $ 100,000 included Jacob
Brown, Willis insurance Paul Dolby Circle K; Marcie Cragg, The Gavin Group;
Rhonda Forsyth, John C. Lincoln Health Network; Tom Leander, Phoenix Suns, Peggy
Neely, District 2 Councillor for the City of Phoenix, David Strachan, desert
Federal Association of Schools of credit, and Vogt Cheryl Marsh. Humana representatives
The jury included El-Tawil, president of Humana of Arizona, Steve
Macias, Practice Leader, Jennifer Willis, head of practice, and Jeff Snags,
Regional Vice President.

Humana `s price Arizona Benefits program on one occasion, $ 100,000 grant to a
Maricopa County-based 501 (c) (3) organization working to improve the mind, body
and minds of people. Women `s Fresh Start Foundation, a non-profit
organization dedicated to helping women help themselves, won the $ 2008 100 000
prices, enabling the organization to open a satellite center for women in the
Valley East. Mesa Association of Sports for the Disabled, a nonprofit
supports sports programs for disabled athletes, has used the 2007 price $ 100,000
buy a truck and trailer that allowed him to increase the quality and
amount of events for athletes participating.
