Bench Spectacles

I went to the park in the middle of autumn
And it was then and there that I saw
A squirrel sitting on a bench, a book in hand
He pushed his glasses up, began to scan

He held up his book with small claws
Although harassed by an officer of the law enforcement
I'm gone, a look in my eye complain
He asked: "This pet squirrel? Tell me, do not lie. "

Yeah, it's mine, I smiled, took a seat
The officer went, "Hi, pleased to meet ...."
The squirrel looked huge with students who excelled
And told me to join and he did not mind

We sat and read that the leaves fell out with
We talked about fantasy and all things weird
After thousands of pages that we blew through
I said "squirrel, I have a question for you.
Where are you? Would you stay with me? "
To which he replied: "I'll always be here as long as you want me"

great metaphor in this area. and bottom layers of fantasy. Nice, love the light upward direction

I missed it! But I enjoyed it!
It is quite wonderful, you know!

Thank you for sharing the rescue of the long arm of the law. I liked the rhyming couplets, too. Very nice, light touch and pleasant. Get an illustrator and you have a book for children!
