Brookdale Senior Living is better than the homes Sunrise? My family is looking to put my grandmother in a nursing home. I work at Brookdale in the restaurant and I know that Brookdale is flashy, but the company does not take great care of its residents, particularly in Assisted Living. I know there is another retirement community, Sunrise, and it seems good, but I'm not sure if it's better than Brookdale. Someone knows?
You did not mention what state you live in.
Brookdale is the largest owner of the nation and
operator of senior living communities throughout
the United States and a leading provider of national
services for the elderly.
My mother was in assisted living in Virginia. His house was bought by a couple of Brookdale years after she went there. She received excellent care of exceptional talent and compassion of nurses and staff. They attended his diligence, we were informed of even the smallest problems of health and provided exceptional dining and recreation. Your criticism of Brookdale facilities may be true of some, but our experience has been excellent. I think the staff of each institution is the key to its quality. Maybe the hotel staff where you work is the problem.
I would never have my parents in one of these assisted living homes franchisees. Forget any and find a more famous locally Assisted Living Facility for your grandmother. Sunrise is also a great business with homes across the country. A retirement home is one in which they care for life for a heavy price. These are top of the line but if you talk about assisted living, pay attention when she will live, even if you use Medicaid, because these places are not the best.
