Cataract Surgery

I plan to go under surgery in the future, but I was wondering what it will help improve my vision. I had a cataract surgery when I was little, my doctor took the lens, but never gave me a new one. I'm 21 now and my vision is terrible. Glasses do not help me much because it does allow me to see things clearly, but does not improve eyesight.
