How the name circadia insects live and die? We found the shell, exoskeleton, abandoned by a bug that we know as a circadia. We want to know what it's used in the ecosphere of earth.
I think you mean cricket. The larvae suck plant juices, and when the adults emerge I am sure they are food for birds and all that is in the area at the time. See the link below
Cicada. Circadia means "clocks" in Greek.
Anyway.
The grasshopper lives a prime number of years - either 13 or 17 years (this has to do with evolution to avoid predators). The vast majority of that time, they live as nymphs underground, then rise and turn into a bit ugly, two or three inches long hum of insects. They mate, lay eggs and die. Larvae exit eggs which fall to the ground under the trees, burrow and pupate.
A new thing I learned was that the existence of a Cicadia killing wasp. They are a predator of the bug. The female wasp paralyze the bug and is returning to its nest for food for her young.
It is a goal for the insect.
