Psychology is the scientific study of behavior of a human being and thought as a cornerstone of their personality and reactionary process. There are many reasons that the individual can be examined by a psychologist.

Sometimes people who are being considered are just trying to determine how to move past a specific feeling or desire they may not appear to let go all alone. By using psychology and investing in the help they can experience from a psychologist, an individual can be shown the various ways in which situations they access and learn to react differently and redefine their approach to problems or stress. By acquiring a habit different intervention process, an individual can acquire for more different problems or feelings they have not been able to do so at an earlier date, before being studied in the field psychology. Psychologists tend to accumulate the data they are able to collect from different subjects to learn how the human mind works in a general sense. Data can also be used for the communication of the laws of similarity and differences of opinion between the individual mind and assessment of life.

While criminology is the study of the behavior of an individual and considered process, it has a particular effect that is sought by the criminologist. The actions of the individual and thought are being investigated to determine how that person is able to be overcome or succumb to the various factors of crime that exist in an environment. There are many different thoughts on how a criminal comes to be. Some think that a criminal is born with the natural ability inherent in deviant while others believe that the criminal element is presented in person by a particular environmental aspects. Criminologists are often in search of why and how an individual is able to act in a manner which is harmful to themselves or others. They use their knowledge to enable a safe and satisfactory for the general public.

Criminal Psychology is a special branch of criminology that combines these two viewpoints. Using psychology as the sole basis for the invention of the individual, criminologists are able to give birth to a profile of the author. Looking at the actions of an individual or behaviors, psychological criminologists are able to see the personality of the individual being followed or studied. This can help break criminologists model to reduce the author before they are able to perform their next criminal act, if the person is still on earth, or it can help the criminologist to interpret how Crime has come to, effectively determining the motive. However, psychological criminologists are generally not those who will help criminals to get to the other side of their deviant behavior or mental. Otherwise, they more often than not use their knowledge to help others interpret what the criminal did and why, indeed, help to get resolutions of the criminal may be useful or necessary.

In examining the mind, both criminologists and psychologists seeking to understand the individual. While some examples of what is the benefit of the individual, in other cases what is going to keep the public at large to protect the individual.
