Nursing homes for patients with dementia in England? Does anyone know what the ratio of nurses to patients in these homes? Are they controlled by a Board of Directors? Apparently, they have a special permit allowing them to take patients demmentia but there is no decision to say how many staff as appropriate, must be qualified or who have special training to care for these vulnerable people? Is it fair that they have only a security check of the fire service if they request it?
All care homes [which include nursing and] housing must be registered with the Care Commission.
They decide that the client report to staff.
All employees must be trained to the Credentials Committee of care settings at least once a year at an announced visit, but they can make unannounced visits if they think there is a reason.
You can complain to the Care Commission at any time.
All nursing homes should have a copy of the latest report from the Care Commission or you can get this if you CARE to the Commission. Gov.
50% of staff must be qualified at least NVQ2
New Gran is correct about the report, unfortunately this is not always enforced, it is obvious to many personal and public visits to the house, sometimes the rules are not enforced, sad to say,
they should respect what people say, but sadly not the case is not enough training of qualified personnel, but you can complain to the Care Commission and may be anonymous if you now have somewhere you Not satisfied with the take with the media, some members of staff should be shot and some hospitals too these patients / residents and also in the community is an area that needs a big wake to wake these people should receive a very high level of care and are they receiving ??????? ??
