Diets For Womendiets low in carbohydrates for women? Are there women who have low-carb diet and it worked for them?

I need to lose 30 pounds of baby weight fast. My husband did the diet and lost 15 pounds in three weeks. I do not know if it worked for women. Advice? What has been your experience?

I did the South Beach diet and lost about 7 pounds the first two weeks. It works for men and women, and the amount of weight you lose depends entirely on the amount you need to lose in the first place. If you do not need to lose as much as your husband, you will not lose as much as he did in the first weeks. Do not despair, however. Men tend to lose weight faster than women because they have greater muscle mass, muscles and helps burn fat faster. Therefore it is really important to do both cardio and weight when you try to lose weight.

Ahem, back to the diet, it works for women too. This is because carbohydrates tend to increase your insulin levels, which stores your fat. Proteins such as chicken, beef and cheese does not do that, and if you do not store as much fat with the types of food. Of course, you must be careful though. Too high fat cheese will make you gain weight simply because of the fat. Make sure that if you try it, try drinking some beverage fiber, and get plenty of fresh vegetables in your diet! Otherwise, you will become constipated. Good luck!
