I used it and it said negative 5 times before I finally called positive. all the same day ..... not too accurate

The irony is that the tests over the counter, are statistically as accurate as laboratory tests ... when used properly.

Most tests are provided with two test sticks so you can test on two consecutive days and to minimize the probability of false positive / negative. In other if we said yes, and the other says no, you buy a new box and do the same thing a few days later. If both say yes or no, the result can be considered correct.

I made more than three times with my pregnancy. All three were false negatives. Clearblue Digital and the first positive response came sooner than more information. The more positive information never read. (I really really really wanted to be sure!)
