Geriatric Psychology

Posted on February 17, 2010.
Geriatric PsychologyAre there jobs that you would recommend to those interests?

Regarding school, I am interested in psychology and I am keen to work with geriatric patients. I do not want to do nursing, but more of why older people think as they do. A geriatric psychiatrist would be great, but demand is so weak that I kind of looked past that. Is there something you suggest where I could spend my day mostly with patients and do not look at their files and give them shots. Any ideas how or career ideas please post them! So what could I do with a degree in gerontology? Thank you!

So you want to spend the day with patients, but not really do a job? If you are interested in why they think as they do you need to study geriatric psychiatry.
