New Horizons-South Bay: Senior Living at its best One of the best kept secrets in the South Bay New Horizons-South Bay. It is a lush, peaceful and vast community of residents proud and attentive. Many of them have lived here since the complex was completed in the mid 60s. This was the first California condominium planned, with another New Horizons built around the same time, just north of Santa Barbara.
The originality of this community is the large amount of land the community is located. Built before the land was such a premium, charm and two storey buildings are scattered between a landscaped park. All reminiscent of condos in the Palm Springs area. To stroll through the complex on its winding paths is a feast of its own. One has the impression of a small town, unhurried rural living.
Another unique aspect of this community is that it is self managed by elected volunteers. This keeps the monthly minimum. With guaranteed residents a management team that care has an interest in the welfare of the community.
The community is composed of several buildings with 2 floors of condos, condo one story bungalows, a golf course 9 holes, 2 pools, tennis courts and a state House Art Club - All Nice quite . The two three-bedroom condos are around the horse in shape, with 3, golf 9-holes. The golf course is maintained in an excellent manner, and is surrounded by lush gardens, palm trees and tropical plants.
This small oasis for all living the most complex is located on Maple Avenue, just south of Sepulveda Blvd in the city of Torrance.
In recent years, many other gated communities were built in the area, and some even offer equipment, but it offers all the charm and lush park that offers New Horizons South Bay complex residents.
