Hospice Homecarehome care palliative care? I have a sick relative needed. How does it work?

She is unable to feed themselves. I think it might also require IV tubing. Can a nurse come home and do it?

Call Hospice now it seems that you are about two months need their help and expertise.

Here is a webpage that describes their great service and answer many of your questions. There is also a list of resources to find your local hospice hospice available local resources.

Why Dr. your parents are not already obtained hospice involved? Good luck to you both

Call your local health department. Hospice is only for patients who are terminally ill and who have been given six months or less to live. If this is the case call the health department. they will get one of your parents set up at no cost to your family and they are wonderful. They came to three of my grandparents. And yes they can do IV.

their doctor or nurse can get hospice to come for an assessment and determine what might be needed. they can make reference to different companies according to their needs, etc. insurance, if the hospital social worker can help to get it all set up.

Well once they are on palliative care, a nurse come once a week
no guts, and assement the patient can tell you about the condition. THEY provide everything you need, they may be able to get help to come and feed her, I aid some with bath my mother, who can not itself bath, they come every day
I do not have much experience with feeding tubes, but my RN,
says they must be cleaned and areated every two hours.
but they do at the last feeding tubes resort.Use, she suggested, giving him liquid food, she can drink V8 juice,
shakes, smoothies ..... ect ... ect

If all she needs an IV, it would not require palliative care for patients who are terminally ill. Contact your local hospital (s) and ask them, they all have access to the Hospice. You can also try to find a home health agency and an RN came to assess your Mom.

A referral hospital is the doctor. It is for the terminally ill patient, with nearly six months to live. That other lady was referring to home care through a home health agency. It may be through the health department or independent agency home health. There is a fee for it though unless you are on medical assistance through the state. It does make life better for all. I don t think there is a cost per patient for palliative care, if you can not pay for it. If you have insurance, the insurance is billed.
