Hospice Of The RapidanPollensa and Alcudia, the city

Located at half past one in Palma, the friendly coastal town of Puerto Pollensa in the north-east corner of Mallorca is the ideal place for a summer getaway. The wonderful Mediterranean climate, sandy beaches and tourist infrastructure in place, has emerged into a popular destination for overseas visitors to rent a holiday villa. Puerto Pollensa is situated in a prime location in the context of the Serra de Tramuntana and has also become a favorite with many celebrities - if you're famous and are looking to rent a luxury villa in Majorca, Puerto Pollensa is place!

In Port

After a relaxing day on the beach, join the evening promenade that residents and visitors to walk from their Pollenca villas along the cypress-lined marina for their evening 'paseo' or stroll. By the way, you will hear the clang of poles ropes hundreds of boats moored at the marina, interspersed with chatter and activity of cafes and outdoor restaurants. On a balmy evening while walking in your holiday villa in Puerto Pollensa transport you into its comfortable embrace. Make sure to go through the magnificent Hotel Miramar with its bohemian charm and balconies overlooking the sea, and you may feel like you may be a step backwards in the 1900s.

Head to the city

The town of Pollensa itself is approximately 6 km inland from the port and the main concentration of villas Pollenca. This is a trip well worth it as the city is rooted in a long history which saw the participation of Egyptians, Romans, Moors and the Ottomans. There is not much evidence left of the Romans but, with the exception of a lovely old bridge crossing a stream running through the center of the city.

cobbled streets of the city and the narrow side streets are lined with large old houses and architecture from the 17th and 18th marvelous seems a million miles (and years) away from the modern port Villas Pollensa. Take time to visit the church of Sant Jordi - a huge Gothic church, which in the past has been used as a hospice and shelter against pirates in the days of such things! There is also the Convent of Santo Domingo, and once a year in the cloister, a music festival is held here. Many people come up to their holiday villa in Pollensa Peurto to join the party.

Perhaps the most rewarding thing you can do is go up the steep slope of the Cruci Via. It is around 350-400 steps, but the walk is lined with picturesque cypress, and your top price is not only the statue of Mare de Deu del Regardless of Creubut (the mother of God at the foot Cross), but also the fabulous panoramic view of the sweep. You can see the surrounding countryside, and the horseshoe bay of the port and the villas Pollensa below.

everyone's reasons for coming to this amazing part of the world are different. Some come for fabulous walking and cycling routes in the mountains above Pollenca villas, some come for the sea, sand and sun of the Mediterranean, the rich and famous and some come to escape the paparazzi and relax in their luxury villa. Puerto Pollensa is many things to many people, but one thing is certain - once is never enough.
