Hospice Reimbursement

Posted on March 26, 2010.
Hospice Reimbursementmileage reimbursement may be considered as income to repay a student loan?

I work for a company and palliative care can travel in excess of 1,500 miles in a period of two weeks time or only have 300 miles. Student Loan wants to use the gross income to get out, but 15% as you can see, it varies greatly. I may have to give up my health insurance because there will come out. This is the first time I have the sickness in 10 years. And I can not find information. Can you please help me?

Usually, (and I confess that I am not a person of tax), but something is considered "return", it is not taxable income. You are an expense to be reimbursed, not win.

No, mileage reimbursement is not considered income. It is the reimbursement of costs incurred in the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.

Do not overthink this. Use the revenue numbers that appear on w2s and 1099, and what happens on your tax return.
