Lasek Laser Eye Surgery

Posted on March 5, 2010.
Lasek Laser Eye SurgeryI want an unbiased opinion on laser eye surgery (Lasek) I would like to hear anyone who had?

glasses, I am seriously thinking of having the laser eye surgery, I would here from someone who had the Lasek procedure, I'm 61 and wear of the distance and near, no objective response would be welcome

If you are short sighted, it will be possible and very successful. However, if you're more than slightly farsighted you will not be adequate as they process is not so easy for problems of long view.
I asked my optician and is totally inappropriate.

There is a good article on this subject in the current issue of U.S. News & World Report, if you're in the States.

Make sure you do not see it before you have it, I saw him do and it is not possible, I would have done now.

I had surgery on my eyes Lasick for myopia in 1997 and would be recommending it to anyone thinking about it. It is absolutely wonderful to be able to see distant objects well without glasses. However, surgery is not useful for reading closely and as I got older had to get glasses for reading.

I have not had surgury even though I'm going to do after college. I am currently a university course and sensory perception called good, and my teacher has focused on the issue.
Lasek fix nearsightedness. Basically, if you can not see far away without glasses, you'll be able to after surgury. He can fix it because it fixes the problem of distance between the lens and retina for the image of the lens hits the right spot on the retina.
Unfortunately, as our glasses to our eyes age, they do not work quite like they used to. It is more difficult to put things very closely in point. surgury laser can not resolve this problem, why you'll still need reading glasses, even if you have the surgury.
Hope this helps!

A lady I know has had this. She said it was like popping sounds in his head when they did, like candy Stardust. No pain, the worst was to have eye drops and after, the pupils dilated for some time. But she can see very well now. I do not think it is suitable for everyone. Depends on the shape of the lens or something.

I had LASIK 11 years ago and the first five or six years, I maintained a perfect view, except for reading. I was told that because of my advanced age (40) that I still need reading glasses, which was true.

Five years ago I started wearing glasses all the time. I recently went to a review to see an improvement, because apparently I'm not the only one who does not keep a perfect vision. I'm still undecided on whether to go through the procedure again. Although I did once, it's always a little scary to me.

Below you will find a link to an article on LASIK that could help you. I'm considering disposable contacts yet. My vision is still tons better than it was pre-LASIK, but my distance vision is blurry now.

Anyway, I just want you to know that there is no guarantee that the improved vision is permanent.

My partner has done this almost three years
The best thing I can suggest is to go for a company that offers a free initial consultation.
Because of your age, you may find fewer advantages than our sight deteriorates with age, but anyway, if you're given the green light go!
My partner has sung his praises since she had done and we had a small ceremony in a moment where she recorded her glasses with a serious peaceful, but the liquid in the York River.
Hope everything is ok for you, but go to this free consultation you will not know until you try
best wishes
