My mother has a schizoaffective disorder and we need her in a care facility long term. We used to have in an apartment, but she has recently put me out. Any help or suggestions are appreciated ...

if a / s of a disorder, it receives SSI? if she receives SSI, it should also receive Medi-Cal and Medicare possibly depending on its age. many skilled nursing facilities (SNF) will accept psychiatric patients for "custodial care" (they do not need nursing home, just supervision) if they are under Medi-Cal or any other insurance covers custodial care.
