Saline Eye Drops

Posted on February 4, 2010.
Saline Eye DropsWhat type saline eye drops can be used for Fuch dystrophy?

I have a condition called Fuch dystrophy in my cornea. saline drops can be used, but I need to know what force, if you need a prescription, or you can buy OTC. This condition causes fluid to build - saline drops supposed to help dry it.

Ordinary saline drops will not help. This is because the standard saline and standard types of lubricant eye drops are designed to match the content of your saline tears. Due to transfer fluid from the cornea, you must create an osmotic gradient. What this means is that you must put a drop in the eye that is tonic HYPER - contains much more salt than normal tears. Content higher than the normal salt osmoticly fluid flow because of the cornea (an environment low in salt) in the hypertonic solution (an environment more salt). You must use something like 128 to get this effect MURO. Contact your doctor. He or she will be able to help some 128 MURO.
