MarketplaceSan Diego ChiropracticPosted on March 26, 2010. Does anyone know the process to become a chiropractic assistant? I considered that a future chiropractic career, but I wanted to know the process to become. I currently live in Maine, but will be moving to San Diego, CA about eight months. I visited and talked to a chiropractor and it said something about payment and participation in seminars and when you're done with those, take a test. Also, do you know how a chiropractic assistant can make a month? If you can help me, it would be great! Thank you! You do not need the school to become a CA. Most chiropractors train you on procedures and modalities of their use. Basically, a CA is a glorified receptionist. You answer phones receive payment schedule and put on therapy. My advice to you is to focus on massage therapy you can get your money because you can work on their hands with patients and learn as skeletal muscle and makeup. there are business schools that will take your money to train you to become a CA, but I think it is not necessary. Why not contact your local community college? They should be able to point you in the right direction. Many classes are offered to medical programs. You can talk to a chiropractor and get a second opinion.
