Vaastu: The Vedic science of building Vaastu is traditionally used in India for urban planning and architecture. Vaastu from the Vedic literature and is found in the Atharvaveda. Vaastu is also known as Veda Sthapathya. It draws the health, happiness and prosperity.
There are four categories of Vaastu
1. The earth / site - Bhoomi, on which everything is
2. Books on the earth - Prasada
3. Movable objects - YAAN
4. Furniture - Sayana
The five elements
Vaastu is the science of direction and architecture that combines the five elements of nature and adjust them in harmony with man and material. Vaastu Shastra is creating a setting or a pleasant place to live or work, and enjoy the benefits conferred by the five elements called "Paancha Maha Bhoot" of nature and produce positive energy that improves health, wealth, prosperity and happiness in a spiritual environment.
Each directorate is headed by a deity and they are as follows:
1. North - Eeshanya or Eeshwara Siva - led by the Lord of all districts
2. East - Aditya-Ruled by Sun God
3. Southeast - Agni-Ruled by Lord of Fire - Agni
4. South - Yama-Ruled by Lord of Death - Yama
5. Southwest - Pitru / Nairutya, Nairuthi-ruled by the ancestors
6. West - Varuna - headed by Lord of water
7. Northwest - Vayu - headed by Lord Wind
8. Kubera North - - headed by Lord of wealth
9. Center - Brahma - headed by Lord / Creator of the Universe
Vaastu in the building:
Vaastu Shastra prescribes forms or forms for favorable sites and buildings based on energy flow. Many rules are allocated in a way that they are in line with the creation cosmos - the path of the sun, the earth's rotation, magnetic field, etc. The sunrise and the morning sun is particularly beneficial and purifying and hence, the East is a valuable direction. The body is considered a magnet with the head, the heaviest and most important, being considered the North Pole and South Pole's feet. Therefore, sleeping with the head in the North is said to cause a repulsive force with the Earth's magnetic north and is therefore harmful.
Vaastu for Health:
When we speak of Vaastu and health we need to relate with Vastu Ayurveda. Weaving the two topics, we will be able to understand the different diseases and health problems and how Vaastu correction by some that we could treat diseases or conditions best to give faster relief to patients.
The principle of the air created from the ether and air. A Vata person may be prone to chronic constipation, back pain (normally lower back), paralysis, arthritis, etc.
The principle of fire: fire created. A Pitta person may be prone to rashes, itching and be sensitive to liver disorders.
The principle of water created from water and earth. A kapha person may be prone to congestion of lungs, obesity, bronchitis, sinusitis and cold related diseases.
These three fundamental problems also called tridosha, three bio-energies or biological humors, build and maintain the body and the exercise of the biological functions of an individual. The increase or decrease of one or more of these doshas upsets the biological functions and disease sets in.
